Returns

The Referdeal return policy lasts for 14 days. which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return. If 14 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund or exchange, unless otherwise stated in the law.


To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

The customer will be responsible for the return and will pay for the return shipping cost.

Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, or damaged, or if you receive the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Please note that proof of product damage or other issues must be attached to the email.

Referdeal will accept returns for faulty or defective items in line with the consumer guarantees act as long as the fault or defect is reported as soon as it occurs. You cannot claim if:

  • You used the product in a way that was outside the intended purpose/use.
  • You broke or lost the product, accidental or non-accidental damage. 
  • You modified the product, and this is what caused the issue.
  • Normal wear and tear within the reasonable life of the product.

All returns must be returned in a re-saleable condition, ie. goods must be in unused condition, free from debris/fibers/animal hair, in original packaging with product manuals, instructions, invoice included, and with all labels intact unless faulty.  Please do not write directly onto the product packaging.

 

Exceptions / non-returnable items

Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

 

Exchanges and Change your mind

If Customer Change their minds or wish to make an exchange. The customer will be responsible for the return and will pay for the return shipping cost.

 

Refunds (if applicable)

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Refunds will be only offered if we are not able to fix the issue or if we can not offer a replacement. the shipping cost is not refundable. 

Consumer Guarantees Act 1993

The Consumer Guarantees Act sets out minimum standards for goods sold on Referdeal website. In the event that goods sold are defective, faulty, or not fit for purpose, the Seller has the obligation to repair, replace, or refund.

 

Fair Trading Act 1986

The Fair Trading Act is designed to protect the customer from being misled, either intentionally or unintentionally. This applies to all aspects of the promotion and sale of goods and services including pricing; where the product was made; where the product is from; the meeting of New Zealand safety standards; availability of products in-store and the sales techniques used. The Commerce Commission enforces the Fair Trading Act 1986.

 

What is the restocking fee?

Since the customer decides to return the product independently (that is, it is not the product quality problem), 5% of the full order price will be deducted.

Repairs

If the returned product is still under warranty, the repair will be at the seller's expense. There may be an assessment fee on electrical items which include Mobile Phones, iPods, and Gaming System Hardware. If the product is out of warranty, then the Seller can still have the product repaired, however, the cost of the repair will be charged to the customer unless the product is faulty or otherwise defective.

Shipping the product to Referdeal or the seller for repair will be at the customers' expense.

 

Coupons

If a coupon was applied to an order, the coupon or portion of coupon used on the item will only be reimbursed for returns where the item(s) are:
  • Faulty
  • Incorrect item received
  • Damaged upon arrival
